It’s the Australian pickleball racquet brand Six Zero that has officially become a partner of the prestigious pickleball tournament Pickleball Polish Cup 2025. The birth of a brand: innovation from the heart, straight from the garage
Six Zero’s story begins with passion and engineering savvy. The company was founded in late 2022 by Dale Young, an engineer from Sunshine Coast, Australia. Dale, with a passion for water sports and tennis, returned to Australia after ten years of volunteering in Africa – and that’s where he came across… pickleball.
He was bored with the constant breaking of rockets and their shoddy design so he decided to take matters into his own hands. In the garage, he and his father Bruce built and tested more than 500 prototype rockets to create something truly unique. From an unintentional hobby project came a fast-growing brand based on technical innovation and quality.
A name that inspires – Six Zero as a PRO-game symbol
The name arouses curiosity and is immediately intriguing – Six Zero comes from the DUPR ranking scale, where 6.0 means professional level. It’s a unique goal to achieve – exactly the level players want to help with Six Zero racquets. The brand creates the message: “Go Next Level.”
Technology and advantage – innovations “made in Australia”
From the very beginning, Six Zero has focused on research and development. Engineers, creating prototypes in the Australian factory, use advanced techniques: mass heat molding (“hot mold”), full carbon edging (edge-carbon seam) and unibody construction (one-piece construction). The result is a racquet that stands out for its strength, precision and dynamics, yet which is copied around the world today.
Materials – including high-end Japanese carbon and a lightweight but strong honeycomb polymer core – are carefully selected and tested in an iterative design process.
From the garage to the global arena – rapid development and opening of HQ
At first, Six Zero operated locally, in a garage. Today it is a brand with a presence in more than 20 countries, working with a team of about 30 people and gaining a global image as an industry leader. And it plans to open its headquarters and store – HQ in Bokarina, as early as August 2025.
